Sharon Hammer is a psychotherapist, mental health consultant, and owner/partner at ICC. She specializes in supporting neurodivergent individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma.
 
Her clinical work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches. Sharon views psychotherapy through the lenses of human development, neuroscience, systems, neurodiversity, and trauma. She believes that healing occurs through the relationships people cultivate within themselves and with each other.
 
Sharon has more than 30 years of experience supporting autistic people and the people that care about them. She is the author and co-author of books, chapters, and assessment tools focused on autism and neurodiversity.  A recognized trainer and speaker, Sharon has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to autism, neurodiversity, and mental health. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to providing psychoeducation, support, and opportunities that foster safer, more inclusive spaces for neurodivergent people. 
 
In partnership with Star Cinema, she co-created Wisconsin’s first sensory-friendly movie-going experience, expanding community access and inclusion for autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals.  Sharon remains deeply committed to increasing awareness, acceptance, and opportunities for neurodivergent people throughout the community, fostering spaces where all individuals can feel safer to be themselves.
